Named the “World’s Best New Golf Course’ at the inaugural World Golf Awards in 2014 in Portugal, the Els Club Teluk Datai is one of the world’s most uniquely luxury educational eco-golf experiences.

The 47-hectare course is nestled in a 10 million years old rainforest with a magnificent backdrop of an primordial mountain range with marbled peaks and stretching all the way to the coast with 5 holes designed to maximize spectacular views of the Andaman Sea.

Part of the brief in designing this the 18-hole 6,750-yard championship course was to preserve and enhance the natural environment by substituting the typical bunkers with natural ‘hazards’ in the form of tropical vegetation and streams.

The golf course features 6,760 yards from the championship tees and 5,369 yards from the forward tees. Practice facilities include an extensive putting green, 6 target greens, and a 50m x 40m grassed tee In 2014 Golf Digest (US) unveiled The Els Club Teluk Datai at No.83 in the World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.
